Eagle update Sorry to say the eagle died of lead poisoning. Just want to let you know that there is fishing tackle and ammunition
that can be used that does not contain lead. We can all make a difference by using these products when we hunt and fish.

The rescue of an EagleHere on the north end of Dixon Lake an eagle was spotted sitting on a log not moving. Jerry our nieghbor came upon him
while grouse hunting. He and Lyle netted it and it did not put up a fight at all. After a night in the back of
Lyles truck they thought he may have lead poison as his fecies was green. When I went to take this picture Lyle completely
opened up the back of the truck and the eagle made no attempt to flee. He was one sick guy! He was taken to Grand
Rapids and then will be transported to the Rapture Center. Good luck old fellow, we wish you well and thanks to the rescuers.

Bear season is killing me.After a month of over a hundred hours in a tree and just as many miles walked back and forth lugging my gear and bait around
I'm stiil contemplating giving up. I just can't get any of these bears eating on my expense to come in during
the day light hours. Every time I put bait out it is gone by the next day, the huge logs are rolled away and the tracks
are good sized. Several times I said I'm done but if you know me I just can't quit. I'll continue
to try until season end and then I'll just have to fill 3 deer tags like I did last year, Hah! Will miss the bear meat
in the freezer this year as we love it best of all wild game. Here is just one of the bears I've been hoping to
meet in person. I named him Fatass! Cuz he ate all of 100#s of powder sugar donuts I left. His mate is around and they
have a yearling cub with them. Happy birthday Tony, I miss you, can't believe you've beeen gone 20
yrs.!
