Eagles This time of year like the deer yarding up we begin to see eagles in large groups. I saw a group of them in an area
where I counted 15 eagles, but I'm sure there were more. I have also been seeing them on the lake pretty constant
this week.

The Swans have returnedI spottted 4 swans on our bay of Dixon Lake, headed up toward the river. The ice must be open over there. It's great to see them back as that means summers on it's way. The
phone is starting to ring for summer reservations and the neighbors are tapping maple trees. All the happy things that
spring brings.

Look for me on Face book too!
Hi I am your innkeeper Kathryn, after owning a big resort for so many
years, this just came next. We worked very hard for 11 years at our resort with 10 cabins and then
built 2 lake homes ourselves. We also had 40 campsites, a restaurant, bar and 38 ice houses. We
were very happy to move on but very sad to see the new owners fail at keeping the customers we worked so hard to bring
in. Well it's all about customer service and that is why we have had so much success!
Designing
the Inn and building all my creations right in was a lot of hard work but fun too. We decided to open the
B&B when my husband Lyle started his own construction business. Though I am very handy with
tools I did not want to join him in construction. I like to stay busy and the hospitality business is what
I love and fits right into my way of life and my love for promoting this remote area of MN. I have spent my life here
and with my catering and banquet back ground this just fits right INN. My husband and I are avid
sportsmen, cross country skiers and artists. I am an acrylic artist in painting mostly Minnesota wildlife. I
enjoy creating stained glass and mosaic art and built all the stained glass windows for the house and
you can see my artwork all around the INN. I dabble in wood burning, native art and rug making. In
the summer you will see me swimming across the lake or in the garden, in the fall I'm out in
the woods hunting, in the winter I XC ski everyday.
( I groom all of our trails myself).
My goal is to spoil my guests with a wonderful lake side vacation get away!
