Look for me on Face book too!

Hi I am your innkeeper Kathryn, after owning a big resort for so many years, this just sort of came next.   We worked our tails off for 11 years at our resort with 10 cabins and 2 lake homes we built ourselves.  We also had 40 campsites, a restaurant, bar, 38 ice houses and we were open all year.  We were very happy to be out of the resort business but very sad to see the new owners fail at keeping the customers we worked so hard to bring in.  Well it's all about customer service and that is why we have had so much success!
Deciding to share this fabulous new home was my idea when Lyle started his own construction business.  Though I built half this home myself and am very handy with tools I did not want to join him in construction.  I needed something else to do while working at home on my art and I felt the need to share this huge wonderful  home.  This business fits right into my way of life and my love for this area.  I have spent my life here and being a gourmet cook just fits right INN.  We are both avid sportsmen, cross country skiers and artists.  When you visit the home you will see two of the bears I bagged displayed above the kitchen.  This past fall I bagged 3 bucks, one being a 10 pointer.    I am an acrylic artist in painting, mostly Minnesota wildlife.  I enjoy creating stained glass and mosaic art.  I built several stained glass windows for the house and you can see my creativeness all around the INN.  I designed the home and many of my creations have been built right in.  I dabble INN wood burning, native art and rug making.  INN the summer you will see me swimming across the lake or INN the garden, INN the fall I'm out INN the woods hunting, INN the winter I XC ski everyday.
( I groom all of our trails myself).
My goal is to spoil my guests with a wonderful lake side vacation get away!

We took an old run down resort and made it
The Resort
into a fantastic vacation get away.
