Gosling, ducklings eaglettes.
Well we are seeing broods of all types on the lake and around the area.  Even the deer and bear are proud parents these days.  Birding is still great and we are still being entertained from the breakfast table.  Haven't seen that moose that everyone is talking about yet though.

This is Pedie, he is the king of the house or he thinks.  He is 13 years old. A Cocker/English Setter Mix.  Pedie has his limited space in the home, stays close to mom and sleeps a lot.

IN THE HOSPITALITY BUSINESS FOR 16 YEARS. Lyle and Kathryn owned and operated Dixon Lake Resort MN a 12 cabin resort with a bar, restaurant, and 40 seasonal campsites before building their new home on the north side of Dixon Lake.   This area is important to them as Kathryn grew up in these woods and so did her father and grandfather. 

This area of the Chippewa National Forest is just past the busy part of MN ( Brainerd and Walker) with a lot more serenity and pristine land.  Those that are willing to drive just a little further are in for a real treat.

The B&B is Kathryn's baby, she does it all including the building of this website and all the photographs, taken with her Canon EOS Rebel.
 Lyle owns a cabinet and construction Business.

 Living in the Chippewa is a dream come true as both enjoy the lake and woods and all the activiies they provide.  Both love to hunt & fish and take pride in the home and property.  Kathryn has expanded her gardens and really likes providing fresh vegetables and fruits to guests and family .  Caring for and grooming the ski trails takes a lot of hard work but is well worth the time spent.  If the temperature is above 0 Kathryn can be found on her ski trails everyday in the winter. Caring for every aspect of the B&B is what drives her and puts her in her element. 

Together they designed, built and created all the unique features in this exquisite round home built in 2007.  Both are talented artists and had fun incorporating all their creativity into this unique home.  They really enjoy watching the guest "WOW " at all the unique features of the home!
 It just doesn't get any better than this!
